| The City of Sanford is pleased to announce that the City was recently awarded $2.6 million of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus funds that were provided to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's (FDEP) State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program. | |
The City will be using these funds to rehabilitate defective pipe in the public sanitary sewer
system within eight subdivisions of the City from October 12, 2009 through December 2010.
Rehabilitation activities will occur in the following subdivisions as listed here:

Approximately two weeks before activities begin in a particular subdivision,
the City will mail an
Important Notice from the City of Sanford
to let residents know the specific project schedule.
Contractors will also place a door hanger
(English,
Spanish)
on residents' front or garage door 1-2 days in advance
of activities on an individual block as an additional reminder of upcoming rehabilitation activities.
All Contractors have passed background record checks and will carry identification.
Project signage will be placed at the main entrance of each subdivision while activities are ongoing.
